OUR MISSION
FORGED IN THE BLACK COUNTRY
Black Country Basketball Club C.I.C. was established in November 2023 with a clear mission: to promote basketball and foster community engagement through sport in Sandwell, most specifically in Smethwick. As a Community Interest Company, we provide accessible, inclusive programmes for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We bring people together through basketball — developing skills, confidence, and sportsmanship across junior and senior levels. Our youth programme supports personal growth, leadership, and mentorship for ages 5–18, and we actively deliver inclusivity campaigns such as providing sports bras to girls and women to break down participation barriers.
The club is led by a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers. Our Chairman/Director brings over 10 years of experience in basketball coaching and community sport — ensuring our programmes remain high-quality and community-focused.
